About WineTweets

WineTweets is a Twitter 'bot' & website created to save, store and archive your wine suggestions from Twitter and Facebook.

Kruger Smoothing, LLC is a Twitterbot consulting company run by  Rick Stratton - rick@feed.us - is the main person.  Rick is also the founder of Feed.Us.

This site and Twitterbot was built by John Kassimatis and built in Ruby on Rails (for the Twitter stuff) and uses Feed.Us for the content like this page and the text and ads in the right column.

What's a Twitter "Bot"?

A Twitterbot is an automated Twitter account that essentially retweets messages to its followers.  Our version uses the "@reply" (now called mention) to forward Twitter messages to the followers of @winetweets.  Include @winetweets in your message and we'll forward your wine tweet on to the rest of our followers.

WineTweets.com archives those messages and adds some information to make them more interesting, like reviews from wine experts.

HOW TO USE IT:

1. Follow on Twitter: Twitter.com/WineTweets

2. Submit: Send a twitter "reply" message (include @winetweets in your tweet) and tell us what you're drinking.

3. Include:
> Add the name of the wine maker in "quotes" (but not the year)
> Use a twitpic photo of the wine label
> Link to your tasting note

4. Search: Visit WineTweets.com for the archives, search and related wine info.

5. Tip: Look for the "wine info" link on selected tweets... click to find reviews & ratings.

6. Use Facebook.com/Winetweets - write on the wall and it'll show up here.
